Chicago

The first of November we took a little family trip up to Chicago.
We decided it would be a fun adventure to take the train.
The train took a hour longer to get up to Chicago and 45 minutes longer to get home then it would have if we drove, so not bad.
The train was the way to go.
The kids loved it. They weren't stuck in their seats. They were able to get up and move around.

We got us a hotel right down town close enough so we could walk to the places we wanted to go to.
The first day we were there it was gorgeous. The temperature was in the 60's. On the second day it wasn't so nice. It was rainy and very windy but we weren't out in the weather for too long that day.

The Married With Children Fountain aka The Buckingham Fountain!

We walked to Millennium Park and saw the famous 'bean'.

Under the 'bean'.

The next day we went to the Field Museum.

Kara giving a totem pole a hug.

Kara loved pushing all the buttons she could find.

Sitting in a dinosaur footprint.

There was a kids area that was hands on.
Kara loved it.
She really loved the instruments.

Conner even got in on the fun with the drums!

I love the time we get to spend together as a family.

The train ride and whole trip sounds like it was really fun!

I love Kurt's "Al Bundy" pose in front of the fountain.

Sounds like you guys are doing well.
If I don't talk to you before, I hope you have a very Merry Christmas!
