Manti

While Kara and I were in Utah, before Curt came out, we went down to Manti for a McQuivey family reunion. My mom had this silly idea to leave the house at 4:00 in the morning to make the 3 hour journey to Manti. She wanted to leave so early so we wouldn't get stuck in the construction traffic. Well, we left the house about 4:15, in the morning, and drove for about an hour and made it to Draper. We had to pull over into a parking lot because my dad's truck was losing power. The alternator was going out. Not a hard problem to fix except that it's about 5:15 or so in the morning and nothing is open until 7:30. The kids didn't seem to mind at all. They were all so good and just played in the parking lot and in the truck.

We finally made it to Manti 7 hours after we left the house! It was fun to see cousins, aunts and uncles that we haven't seen for a long time. We ate lots of good food, went on a few 4-wheeler rides and just had a ton of relaxing fun. We stayed in a camp ground that was right behind the Manti temple, so we even went to the temple.

The kids loved to play on the door to my dads trailer. They would climb up the door then slide down on the bellies.

My dad took Kara around the camp ground on his ATV and when he got back she was out.

Some of the group on one of the 4-wheeling rides!

One day we rode from the camp ground up to the skyline trail. When we got to the top there was still snow.

Oh how I miss the mountains!

We also rode to this water fall. Here are my siblings with our dad. My mom stayed back at camp with the little ones.

Me, dad, Jenni, Jillyn and Jared

Kara and I went on a little ride, just the two of us. If you look close you can see the temple behind us to the left!

Kara played hard and got so dirty. She had so much fun being outside, running wild!

She played so hard she fell asleep in her high chair! She usually ONLY falls asleep in her bed!

As we were cleaning up camp and packing everything up we put the two little girls in Jillyn's hummer to keep them contained. They LOVED it!!
